Feature & Follow #4

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blog community.

Q: What drove you to start book blogging in the first place?

A: I answered the same question on my about me page, and here is the answer.I started blogging for multiply reasons. But the main reason was to have an outlet to talk about the books I've read. I read A LOT of books and the people around me don’t, so I found myself not having anyone to discuss with about books.My best-friends are the best because even though they didn't read they would listen to me rant about books everyday, and once they got tired of it(Love you guys if you're reading) they told me to stop a book review blog. And I've been ranting about books on blogger since then hahaha :D

  1. wow I had that same feeling too, like my friends don't like to read that much and I can't rant or scream about my favorite books! except with my L.A> teacher but that's akward. Great post crystal:)

  3. It's hard when you are surrounded by people who don't read. I am lucky, all of my friends read a lot (English teachers) and my daughters read a lot, too. I am a new follower. Here is my FF: Mom Reads My Books

  8. Nice answer. I feel the same way too. I'm the only one in my family that is an avid reader, so I felt like the odd one out.

  9. I find a lot of book bloggers RL friends don't like reading or discussing books as much as the book blogger. Isn't that interesting?

  11. Great answer! I have a real life Book Buddy so I'm lucky in that respect, but I still need my online community to squeal about books with too!

  13. That's my answer as well. I bored my friends and family to tears so they forbid me to ever talk to them about books ever again (I'm being dramatic but still... they might as well have -_-) and I took my rejected self to blogger land and never went back :) The End. I feel like a princess! Lol I'm sad! Great answer!

  15. Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I followed you back via GFC!

You touched on one of my blogging reasons - there are few people around me in RL that read the same books as I do. It's nice to have an outlet and a way to discuss with people who read the same things.

    Happy Friday!

  16. Hi Crystal! Thanks for dropping by and leaving such a lovely comment for me :) Yes! I see we have that point in common. This is a wonderful outlet, especially if in reality, people around us aren't up for raving about books, haha! New GFC and Linky follower! Your blog is SO cute <3

  19. Something like that happened to me!
I read a lot and mainly in English, I live in Uruguay so it's hard someone that reads in English too! Blogging has been great for sharing my thought with others!

Thanks for the follow! Folloring you back :)

  20. Thanks for visiting my blog. Old Follower.

Someone (rude) once told me that people who read a lot are anti-social. I was really offended- still am. But I wonder if there isn't a tiny grain of truth somewhere in that. I mean, so many of us book lovers are out there, but we can't find each other. I guess because we're usually home with our noses in a book.

  21. I am the same way... none of my friends liked to read! I mean they would read hugely popular titles because everyone else was like Divergent or The Hunger Games... but not really anything else so when I stumbled upon the book blogging community I FELL IN LOVE!Thanks for stopping by my #FF :D
