First Thoughts

I’ve heard nothing but good things for this series so I thought why not Plus I love Books or Shows with people who can control elements. I mean my favorite shows are Avatar and Korra!!!  #AnimeRules!!!

My thoughts

I loved Storm!! Hats off to Brigid Kemmerer for writing such a great book, Storm is about a boy named Chris who can control water. Water gives him the strength, but he isn’t the only one in his family with this cool connection to elements. He has older twin brother whom control fire and air, and his oldest brother (almost like a father) that can control earth.  They live in a community with people who also have some connection the four elements.

Becca is added to the mix when she saves Chris from getting jumps by a group of guys. After that incident the guys then begin to harass her because they think she is a part of their community and is protecting the Merrick brothers from the people who are out to get them because of their strong powers .These are the people who enforce the laws of the Elemental community and they are Spirits, people who can control all elements.  

Now not only are the Merrick brother’s trying to seek revenge on the boys who hurt Chris they also have to try to keep the guides from trying to kill them for their extreme powers. And not to forget the new guy Hunter who just arrived to school and seems to always be around when Becca is in trouble.

Overall storm was a great book! I think it sets the stage for the rest of the series and it was written brilliantly. She introduces you to a group of brother’s you will love and connect with. This book is packed with action romance, and a bit of mystery. Also there are some twists that are CRAZY. Like I did not see them coming but they were totally welcomed. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of this series and falling more in love with the Merrick brothers!!!
