Synopsis from Amazon
Beth Brown doesn't believe in premonitions until she dreams a sexy stranger is gunned down during the brutal hijacking of a commercial airliner. When events in her dream start coming true, she heads to the flight’s departure gate. To her shock, she recognizes the man she’d watched die the night before.
Lieutenant Commander Zane Winters comes from a bloodline of elite warriors with psychic abilities. When Zane and two of his platoon buddies arrive at Sea-Tac Airport, he has a vision of his teammates’ corpses. Then she arrives—a leggy blonde who sets off a different kind of alarm.
As Beth teams up with Zane, they discover the hijacking is the first step in a secret cartel’s deadly global agenda and that key personnel within the FBI are compromised. To survive the forces mobilizing against them, Beth will need to open herself to a psychic connection with the sexy SEAL who claims to be her soul mate.
My Thoughts
What? I am so mad, not because the book was horrible because it was a pretty great book. But because the book left me hanging, and I need to know what happened.
I won't be going into further detail because the synopsis covers everything you need to know, anything else will just ruin the story."Forged in Fire" was a great romance/suspense.I was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time, trying to figure out what going to happen next or who else was involved. It kept me guessing the entire time. The action started from the first page all the way until the very end of the book. This was the definition of a page turner.
Since my kindle broke (RIP crystal's kindle...sad face) I've been reading my ebooks on amazon.read their cloud program that I can access from my computer. When my computer dies half way through this book I was so mad at my computer(because it definitely wasn't telling me to plug in my charger the entire time LOL). But then I had to wait like three minutes before I could get back to my book. And once I was back in business, I was back on the edge of my seat. The thing I loved most about this book was nothing I predicted came true, at the end I was like what? Did not see that coming.
Pros: Loved all the characters, well-written, great length.
Cons: Ending!!! I love how it sets you up for the next book, but I'm not a fan of MAJOR cliffhangers.
Overall, it was a pretty good book. I will be reading the next book in the series!
Characters: 5/5
Writing/error: 5/5
Plot: 5/5
Ending: 2.5/5 ... I hate the cliffhanger, but at least I have something to look forward to.
Would I recommend it: Yes!

Ahhhh! Your Kindle died? Moment of silence for your poor Kindle...
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard much about this series, but I love romantic suspense, and anything that has you cursing your computer for dying while you're reading is something I want to try. Not super excited about the cliffhanger, but other than that it sounds awesome! Thanks for the recommendation Crystal:)
You're welcome!! I got the book because it was free on amazon, but I saw that it had 300+ reviews and it turned out to be pretty amazing.
DeleteThe cliffhanger is a MAJOR bummer because the second book it's out yet :(
This sounds like a great read..even though the ending left you hanging I love romantic suspense!
